IQPC 5th Annual Bridges and Tunnels Middle East – 11 to 14 Nov. 2012

The 5th Annual Bridges Middle East, co-located with Tunnels Middle East, organised by IQPC, will be held from 11th to 14th November 2012 at Ritz-Carlton in Doha, Qatar. The event, regarded as one of the most important in the sector in the Middle East, provides a platform for those involved in planning, design, procurement, construction, maintenance etc in the bridge & tunnel realm for discussing and exchanging the latest & the best techniques with a view of enhancing durability of these structures.

Qatar has allotted around $20 billion for developing bridges, tunnels and interchanges in order to interlink the railways & roadways within it as well as to connect them to the rest of GCC. This, in turn, would entail updating or revision of traffic signalling, construction methodologies and construction time-scales for these structures, their durability parameters, asset management and so on. The event is expected to address all these and more besides facilitating networking and generation of assorted business opportunities.

Some other projected benefits from attending the event are – giving one’s organisation or business maximum visibility amongst those who matters in Qatar and GCC in this particular domain; familiarising with the nitty-gritty of the pre-qualification or tendering processes; getting to know how to deliver a higher standard of service to the clients; opportunity to increase profitability by incorporating innovative design & construction techniques etc.

Attendees will have opportunity to interact with industry experts, government agencies, architectural, consulting and contracting firms, municipalities, material suppliers, technology providers etc. Profiles of attendees/delegates expected to join the event include directors of infrastructure, technical directors of bridges & tunnels, heads of transport & engineering divisions, heads of bridges, design, structural engineering, tunnels & ground engineering, geotechnical & design managers, chief engineers, project directors and managers, transport & planning leads, bridge & tunnel designers, structural, bridge, tunnel, geotechnical and civil engineers etc.
